IMPORTANT NOTES
Kickoff with Drew McIntyre returning and making his way down to the ring. Drew says it feels good to back, and thanks all the fan for their get well wishes. He says he got so lucky with his symptoms, he was able to train by day four, and wants to dedicate his match this Sunday to everyone who is fighting this disease. Speaking of other things people are sick of, Bill Goldberg. Drew says he isn't going to look at Goldberg lightly, he destroyed Hogan, the Rock, and then came back years later to start a new streak which Drew vows to end this Sunday. Drew says he's pumped up when Miz and Morrison come out. Miz says Drew vs Goldberg will be the WWE equivalent of Kong vs Godzilla, but when there is a conflict of that magnitude, there are consequences. One or both of them could end up injured, and whoever wins will be a sitting duck for Miz and Morrison to beat the holy hell out of. Then Miz will cash in his Money in the Bank and be the new WWE Champion. Goldberg makes his way down to the ring, and simply tells Drew he's next. Miz and Morrison try to egg McIntyre and Goldberg on but the two of them grab Miz and Morrison throw them into the ring. Goldberg spears Miz, and Drew Claymores Morrison, before they go face to face again and Drew holds up the title.
Backstage Charlotte is interviewed about her upcoming match with Shayna Bazler, she says it's one thing to call yourself a queen it's another to be one. She says she'll be defending the tag titles, and entering the Rumble and is going to bet on herself to win the Rumble once again. She says her father hanging around with Lacey Evans is the darkest place Ric has ever been in.
After Charlotte is attacked by Nia Jax, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke run down to give her some back up against Nia and Shayna. Mandy and Dana are able to distract them but Lacey comes out and attacks Charlotte.
Mustafa Ali says the greatest moment in Kofi's life happened because of the worst moment in Ali's, Kofi took his spot at Elimination Chamber and stole his Wrestlemania opportunity.
Xavier Woods tries to escape after beating Slapjack but is cut off by T-Bar and thrown back into the ring where he and Mace double chokeslam Woods. Mace and T-Bar hold a dazed Woods while Slapjack gets a chair for Ali, Ali is about to hit Woods but stops and sits down. He says he is the king and like any good king he will show mercy, but he wants Woods to send a message to Kofi that his Royal Rumble spot has been forfeited, and he has been replaced by Mustafa Ali.
Riddle runs into R-Truth who says the Hurt Business have a birthday surprise for him in the VIP Lounge. Truth says they're gonna give him 24 karats, but mixes them up with carrots.
It's time for the VIP lounge with The Hurt Business. MVP says Bobby has something important he needs to bring to their attention, but first he tells Cedric and Shelton to focus on Riddle tonight. Bobby says sometimes you have to believe in someone else's belief in you. The Hurt Business is loaded with gold and this is just the beginning. Shelton starts to speak but he's cut off by Cedric who says the Hurt Business is on a roll thanks to MVP. Bobby says they wanted to give MVP a token of their appreciation, since they all have gold, they'll give MVP some gold of his own. MVP opens a box with a necklace that looks like one of MVP's classic medallions, but with THB instead. Cedric takes credit for working with the designer but Shelton cuts him off. R-Truth comes out and MVP is irate, asking why R-Truth is out there. Truth says he is there for the surprise party but MVP says he isn't on the list. Cedric tells Truth this has nothing to do with him, but Truth says the "THB" stands for Truth Happy Birthday. Shelton says this isn't the time and Truth wants to start a dance party. Lashley says he actually has a gift but it's in the ring. Truth is about to enter when a horde of wrestlers rush down to try and win the 24/7 Championship. Lashley takes care of them but Riddle is able to sneak into the ring and hit the Final Flash on MVP.
Backstage R-Truth says he wants to show he deserves an opportunity of getting in the Money in the Bank ladder match. AJ Styles and Omos come by and say he'd gladly give R-Truth a chance to prove himself because he's so benevolent. Truth that's cool that AJ is benevolent, he's a Capricorn and asks if Omos is a Taurus. He then talks about the time he and Road Dogg broke down their taurus on the way to a show.
After Morrison is defeated, Miz challenges Sheamus to face both him and Morrison in a handicap match right now and Sheamus agrees.
Shayna says she is going to through out everyone in the Royal Rumble just like she did to Mandy Rose last week, even her own tag partner. Nia takes offense to this and says she carries their team.
Jeff Jarrett is at his home and gives us his prediction as to who will win between Goldberg and Drew McIntyre. He says we'll see a spear, a jackhammer, and 1, 2, 3 a new WWE Champion.
Shanya and Nia are arguing backstage when Charly stops by to interview them. They admit they've never gotten along even when they were champions. Shayna figures with Charlotte being distracted by her father, now would be the perfect time to get a rematch for the titles.
Charlotte is interviewed, she says she has been accused of living off her last name, and now a woman is literally wearing her dad's robes and taking advantage of her dad's name. Charlotte says Lacey can wear the robe but she'll never take her crown.
Adam Pearce tells Ricochet if he wins against AJ Styles tonight he could earn a spot in the Royal Rumble. AJ and Omos come by and wonders who in their right mind would take advise from a coward like Adam Pearce who ran away from his match with Roman. At least Ricochet will lose with some dignity tonight. Ricochet AJ is forgetting what happened at TLC and that AJ will need more than a 7 foot giant to stop him tonight. AJ says he doesn't think he likes Adam Pearce anymore, and if he doesn't like him them Omos doesn't like him.
Backstage Ric Flair is teaching Lacey how to reverse out of some holds when Charlotte walks in on them. She tells Lacey to leave. Ric says just because Charlotte is a big star doesn't mean there's no place for for him in the lockeroom. Charlotte says this is the Ric that would spend money on everyone but his family and that this isn't cute anymore, he isn't a legend, he's becoming an old man. She says she isn't the bad guy and wants him to know that. As she leave Lacey hits her with the Woman's Right and woos as she walks off with Ric.
Alexa Bliss is in the middle of the ring singing the "how does your garden grow?" nursery rhyme and says she had so much fun last week. She talks to the empty swing and watches her burning Randy's face on an old TV. She then says she just wanted to have some fun with Asuka in her playground, but she mentioned him. She rewatches her victory over Asuka from last week and her mid-match transformation. She asks if we liked her trick and says he taught her that, and that she can't wait to see him again so she can thank him. Tonight she has the opportunity to win a shiny new toy, and just like last week she doesn't feel like playing nice. Alexa starts creepily singing ring around the rosey, then stares into the camera as images of The Fiend flash over her face, and finishes with Bray's voice saying let me in.
After the gauntlet match Bobby Lashley attacks Riddle from behind and locks in the Hurt Lock.
Edge says 2020 has taught him that you can't sleep on tomorrow, if you have a dream you gotta fight for it everyday because tomorrow is not guaranteed. Sometimes you just have to stand up and dust yourself off so you can keep walking forward. Ten years ago he went to sleep as the World Heavyweight Championship, a week later he had to forfeit that title and his career. Edge says he never can forget when he told his mom he wanted to be a wrestler and she told him to go do it. Those words are what allowed him to fight for nine years to get his dream back. At Backlash Randy Orton killed his triceps, and reminded him that everything you hold dear can be ripped away in a moment. You can't live in that space though, you gotta fight. He remembered what his mom said, and with that in mind he is entering the Royal Rumble. He says it won't be last year because the stakes are higher, he knows his window is closing and he has to use this as an opportunity to win back the title he never lost. Edge says he will fight with every fiber of his being to make this dream a reality. He says a world without dreamers and fighters is a much less magical place, and brings up a Henry Ford quote, "if you think you can, or think you can't, you're right." Edge says he can.
During Alexa vs Asuka, Alexa's music starts to play and Alexa appear back in her original form, visibly afraid and confused. Asuka rushes her but Alexa sends her into the turnbuckle. The lights in the Thunderdome go out, and a creepy music box plays, causing Alexa to turn into her dark form from last week. She locks in the Mandible Claw on Asuka but Randy Orton appears behind her to hit her with an RKO before Asuka can pass-out.
Kickoff with Randy Orton in a pitch black room, he says those who fight fire with fire usually end up with ashes. We see Orton is wearing a white mask and says the voices in his head have been getting louder. This mask now encapsulates his fate, three weeks ago he showed Alexa Bliss a side of himself he didn't know, compassion. Orton says the hatred he felt for himself had to be redirected to the next lamb to the slaughter, until she interrupted. They show the ending to last week's Raw where Alexa interrupted Randy's fight with Triple H. Randy says this is the damnation he received for his compassion, he can't even go to sleep because when he closes his eyes all he sees is the ball of fire going towards his face. The feeling of the fire melting his flesh will never go away and any shred of compassion has left his body. Randy says he is wearing the mask to protect himself and to protect everyone else from seeing the horror he endured. Despite the agony he felt lucky, he received 1st degree burns when he could have been permanently disfigured. He doesn't blame Alexa, he blames The Fiend. Alexa was merely the vehicle, and he knows exactly what The Fiend wants, he wants to stop Randy from achieving the inevitable. Footage is show of Orton's two Royal Rumble wins. He knows everyone in the locker room enjoyed seeing his face burned since they assumed it would take him out of the Rumble, but even if all his limbs were chopped off he'd still compete. Orton says the pain fuels his every move. He tells everyone to thank The Fiend when he burns their Royal Rumble dreams to ashes. Orton lights a match and stares into it before blowing it out.
We see Lacey Evan and Ric Flair arriving to the arena together. Lacey is appalled that Charly Caruso is even trying to interview her, and says there is a reason Ric is called the dirtiest player in the game, and last he was living up to his name. She is simply learning from one of the greatest of all time and her and Ric are going to watch Peyton Royce beat Charlotte.
During Peyton vs Charlotte, Ric Flair comes out with Lacey Evans wearing one of his robes.
Backstage the Hurt Business insult Riddle, but he says he wants to take the the high road. Riddle says they're looking sharp with Creddy Cheddy, Shelton making Benjamins, and says Bobby isn't looking slobby. The Hurt Business walks off but Bobby tells Riddle he likes the flip flops but worries they may hurt his feet. Bobby stomps on Riddle's foot and Riddle says he's gonna put his foot up Lashley's ass later.
Lucha House Party are asking Riddle if he'll still be good for their match later. Riddle assures them back in high school his cousin ran over his foot and he still was able to go to prom.
Mustafa Ali says Kofi suffering from a broken jaw isn't enough, he wants to break his spirit too. He says he hopes Kofi missed Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania so he can feel the same pain Ali felt two years ago when Kofi took his dreams from him.
Backstage Asuka says she doesn't know what to expect from Alexa's playhouse, but a recap video is played during the middle of the interview so we only hear her say something about Alexa's dark side at the end.
It's time for Alexa's playground with special guest Asuka. Alexa welcomes us and says she is so excited but first she has to address the viper in the room. She says she just wanted to talk to Randy last week, but things got a little heated. Alexa says if Randy needs an suggestions for sunblock just let her know. Alexa welcomes out Asuka to the playground, Asuka makes her way down and is about to sit on the other swing but Alexa says that isn't her seat. Alexa asks if they're okay and Asuka says she's okay but Alexa says she isn't talking to her. Asuka decided to stand off to the side and the two of them laugh awkwardly. Alexa says she has some big news and announces she is entering the Royal Rumble. Asuka wishes her luck, while Alexa realizes if she wins she may face Asuka at Wrestlemania. Asuka says she's a big fan of hers and Alexa accepts the compliment. Asuka says yowie wowie but Alexa turns to the empty swing and says she shouldn't have said that. Asuka tries to have some fun and dances to her music but Alexa yells at her to stop. Alexa apologizes and says if he was still there everything would be fine. Asuka says it's okay and says The Fiend is still here. Alexa gets angry and tells Asuka not to say His name. Asuka ducks out of the ring as a rocking horse starts moving on its own.
Backstage Miz and Morrison are interviewed, Miz says he won't give any spoilers and everyone will have to tune in to see what they have in store for Goldberg tonight.
It's time for the Dirt Sheet with Miz and Morrison. Miz says this is the biggest edition in Dirt Sheet history, Morrison says it is extra dirty. Miz says their guest is the biggest in the history of their show and calls him a hero to many superstars of today. Miz introduces Goldberg, his music hits, and security rushes the stages only for GILLBERG TO APPEAR! Morrison says he looks bigger than ever and Miz asks how he'll train for the Royal Rumble. Gillberg says he is going to run his head into a wall, blow smoke out his nose, and fire out his ass. Drew McIntyre's music hits but a small fat man holding a tiny sword comes out. Not-Drew plants the sword and small fire bursts out. Not-Drew says he is here to meet his opponent face to face. Miz says he doesn't want this to devolve into into fisticuffs, they got to settle things with words. Not-Drew says he is going to kick Goldberg's ass back to 1998 and then eat some haggus. John says Not-Drew isn't doing a good enough Scottish accent and so he asks to do another take. Miz tells him it's live and asks where Morrison got this guy. John says New Jersey and Miz says you should only hire actors from New York, Hollywood, or Cleveland. Morrison says nothing ever good comes from Cleveland and the two of them argue until Gillberg comes up and growls at them. They tell him to shut up and Miz says it doesn't matter who win at the Royal Rumble, he's going to cash in his MitB and that he will be next.
Elias tells Ryker they better not have any mix ups this week. Jaxson apologies for last week but Elias says this isn't the place for mistakes and asks him what his goal is tonight. Ryker says he is going to finish what he started and make Jeff Hardy accept the universal truth. Ryker asks if Elias is sure he won't help him tonight but Elias just shoos him off.
Jaxson Ryker and Elias after his match, with Ryker saying he didn't need his help. Jeff uses this opening to attack Ryker and hit the Twist of Fate.
During Alexa vs Asuka, a creepy song plays and all the lights go out after they start to glow purple. We return from the ad break with Alexa just standing in the middle of the ring as Asuka circles them, the arena bathed in a purple light. Alexa is also now wearing a black shirt instead of the pink one from before, and her hair is different. After the match the screen flickers and Alexa returns to her appearance from before the match and we hear The Fiend's voice say "let me in".
I just wanted to give some thought and predictions and also a bit of what I think the card should be from this point. Also I just kind of threw the night order together so I don’t feel strongly about the match order or anything. I went by the number of matches last year had. Also there’s a decent amount of matches that mix Raw and SD. Sorry about that but it’s Mania so I think it’s completely plausible for mixed brand matches. Also in many of these matches I think there are more than one good options for winners. (Scroll all the way down if you just want to see the card and not the discussion.) Night 1
Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match
Big E vs Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens vs Rey Mysterio vs Dominik vs Murphy vs Apollo vs Roode vs Ziggler vs Corbin I know this is a lot of people but this would be the big men’s ladder match for the event. This could have some crazy spots and just be a really fun match. Winner: Big E
Raw Tag Team Championship Match
Street Profits vs Miz and Morrison Another mixed brand match, but this is actually a tag feud that we haven’t seen and I think it could have some interesting and fun mic work between the teams in the build. The teams seem like they should work well together so I think why not. Just have Miz and Morrison pick up the Tag Titles between now and then. Winner: Miz and Morrison
Goldberg vs Riddle
There’s not a clear match for Goldberg so I think it could be fun to finally just let this happen. Don’t let Goldberg completely just bury Riddle but I think Goldberg actually would need to win this match. Riddle isn’t on that level yet but just actually letting him face Goldberg and get some good shots in on him should raise Riddle’s credibility. It could have a fun build and could give causals a fun Goldberg match without him burying anyone or taking anyone’s title. Winner: Goldberg
AJ Styles vs Triple H
This is a match that AJ has spoke about several times that he wants and one of the major AJ Styles dream matches left that we still haven’t seen. Shawn would of course be preferable but I don’t think that’s going to happen. There is no obvious opponent for Triple H or AJ yet so why not go ahead with this. Winner: AJ Styles
Kofi, Xavier, and Braun vs Retribution - Tornado
This may seem random but I’m not sure what there is interesting for Braun to do. Xavier and Kofi have this feud with Retribution, maybe Retribution could pick a fight with Braun somewhere along the way and we end up with this match. We can just see Braun do what he does best and he can just destroy Retribution. It may seem harsh but I’d have this be Retribution’s swan song. They are a failure and I just don’t think they can be fixed. You’d be better off letting Ali be done with them after this and repackaging the rest of the crew. Just have Kofi, Xavier, and Braun destroy them so bad that Ali just shows up on his own the next night and say he’s dropped those failures. Winner: New Day and Braun
Seth Rollins vs Daniel Bryan
It seems like there may have been some seeds planted for this. I would have preferred Seth return face, but since he didn’t I think he and Daniel could have a great program and this match could very well be match of the night. Winner: Seth Rollins
Smackdown Women’s Championship Match
Sasha vs Bianca Belair This match is also all but confirmed already and it should be an awesome match. Bianca should get her WM moment. Winner: Bianca Belair
Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss
If Becky is able to wrestle then I think a good big return match would be for her to fight Alexa this Mania. It could be pretty interesting with all of the psychological warfare and then she could get back to going for the title after Mania. If Becky isn’t ready to return then just replace her with Nikki Cross and just bring a conclusion to that whole Alexa and Nikki thing. Winner: Becky (If facing Nikki then Alexa wins)
WWE Championship Match
Drew vs Sheamus vs Keith Lee We’ve been going through the teases with these three for a while now and I feel like you might as well just include them all three in the match. It could be a really wild and fun hard hitting triple threat. Winner: Keith Lee Night 2
Damian Priest vs Aleister Black
This could be an interesting Mania feud and a good match to kickstart Priest on the main roster. Assuming WWE even plans on using Black again. Winner: Damian Priest
Women’s Tag Team Championship Ladder Match
Naomi and Lana vs Riott Squad vs Natalya and Beth vs IIconics This would be assuming that Naomi and Lana pick the titles up before Mania and end that Lana and Nia feud. I think this match could be fun and a way to get some more of the women on the card. You could have it be the IIconics first match reunited and since Edge is wrestling it would be fun to let Beth and Natalya team for a Mania match. Those would be fun draws for it. If Beth didn’t want to wrestle then you could replace her with Lacey or Carmella or could just add Lacey and Carmella as a 5th team. It would be good to have them on the card but also didn’t want to just throw together tag teams like WWE tends to for the women’s tag division. Winner: IIconics
Cesaro vs Shinsuke Nakamura
I say since these two seemingly have nothing to do at the event, just let these former partners have a match. It should be a great in ring match if you give them some time. Maybe have Adam Pearce promise the winner a future championship match and use this match to kind of propel one of them. Winner: Cesaro
Nia Jax vs Shayna Baszler
I think this would be more interesting than any tag match for these two. This tag team has ran its course and I think it’s time for the split. Let Shayna get a win here and move on to a singles run. Winner: Shayna Baszler
Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
Extreme Rules Christian and Jeff Hardy vs The Usos I think Jimmy will be back by this point and I assume he will have probably joined the Bloodline. (Unless they want to do Jimmy vs Jey at Mania which is also possible) I think it makes sense for Christian to get involved in the Roman vs Edge story so you could have him go against the Usos. I think they could have a big tag match reminiscent of the old TLC matches and he could bring in Jeff Hardy as his surprise tag partner as he’s someone he has respect for and knows is a formidable partner. It would be awesome to see these two in a war like this together for once after all the wars they have been through. I would make it an Extreme Rules match rather than a TLC match though so Christian could take some smaller safer bumps and isn’t limited to mostly tables or ladders. The Usos would pick up the Smackdown tag title between now and then and Christian and Jeff would have a brief run with them after Mania before the Usos quickly take the titles back. Winner: Christian and Jeff Hardy
Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe
I honestly think I’d leave Brock out until the Raw after Mania for the best story, but I know he’s too big of a Mania draw for Vince to leave off the card. He and Joe actually had a really interesting match where Joe took him to the limit so if he has a match this year I think it would be interesting to revisit that. Winner: Brock Lesnar
Undisputed Era vs Hurt Business
I know there are other appealing options like Bobby Lashley vs Brock, but I think the Hurt Business vs Undisputed Era just makes a lot of sense and could be a ton of fun. Both groups are really hot right now and I just think the timing is there. It could either be a fun introduction to the main roster for UE or just an awesome WWE vs NXT one off match. Winner: Undisputed Era
Firefly Fun House Match
Randy Orton vs The Fiend I’m not sure if this match is the best decision but it’s very likely going to happen now so we will see. The Firefly Fun House match last year was an awesome surprise so maybe this will be too. Winner: The Fiend
Raw Women’s Championship Match
Asuka vs Charlotte vs Rhea Ripley vs Bayley I think that Asuka vs Charlotte vs Rhea could be a pretty likely match for the show. There’s multiple ways they could set this up and it makes sense. Even though Bayley is on Smackdown, I think it would make the match even better if she somehow was able to work her way into this match. It would actually give her something relevant to do and again just improve what should already be a great match. Winner: Rhea Ripley
Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns vs Edge Really no explanation needed here. This match seems pretty likely and is probably the biggest draw of a match they can do right now. Winner: This is difficult. I am fine with either answer as long as Reigns is able to take it back from Edge down the line. Full Card Night 1

So we now know the two elimination chamber matches for the PPV and I say two because WWE only puts two of them on the show while every other match is just standard. So the Raw men's is Drew Mclntyre defending his WWE championship against AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus, Miz and Randy Orton. Then on Smackdown our Tribal Chief decided to not defend in an elimination chamber match but to change the stipulation so whoever wins between Kevin Owens, Jay Uso, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Sami Zayn and King Corbin will then fight for the title later on in the night. We also have Asuka defending against Lacey Evans and Bobby Lashley defending against Matt Riddle and Keith Lee. So I'm a bit confused with the Raw side of things, one; why did no one have to qualify for the match when the SD guys had to. Two; why is the Miz in the match when he has the MITB case so he already has a guaranteed title shot. Three; why is Randy Orton in the match when he had like 3 title shots late last year. I tried to make sense of the thinking behind it but none of it sounds reasonable, I'm assuming Hardy will get injured at some point so he'll get replaced by a surprise entrant (hopefully not Goldberg). The Fiend or Alexa will probably cost Orton his opportunity in the match and the Miz will probably be one of the last two, lose and then cash in straight away because why not. The only two I understand are Styles because he's on a hot streak and Sheamus because he's starting a feud with Mclntyre. For me they could have given us Mclntyre vs Sheamus and then put the US title in the chamber and have Lashley dominate in the match so he looks like an even bigger threat so when he drops the US title somewhere down the line he can go straight for the WWE championship. Make it Lashley defending against Matt Riddle, Keith Lee, Hardy, Elias and Ricochet. He could drop the title there by having everyone team against him and then let him go after the WWE championship after Wrestlemania. Drew defending his title in the chamber makes no sense to me. The Smackdown chamber match is easy to figure out and I've commented this on another post but the show will probably start with the chamber match and finish with the winner facing Roman at the end of the night in the main event because Roman is the main event. That person probably being Bryan or Cesaro will win the chamber match, lose to Roman and then face him again at Fastlane to win the title and then defend it at Wrestlemania. WWE now has to figure out two tag title matches and a match for Sasha Banks and Big E to defend their titles if they put them on the show. They probably should have at least one set of the tag titles defended or they'll probably have Big E defend against Apollo Creed again. I can't see them setting up an opponent for Sasha till after the PPV. Anyway the point of the post was to see if anyone could make sense of the Raw booking and any predictions for the PPV.
https://www.reddit.com/SquaredCircle/comments/ehoten/what_are_your_bold_predictions_for_wwe_in_2020/ Nicely Done: - “The Fiend loses a lot of steam by the time Mania rolls around (I don't want this to happen, but I'm afraid it will)” - “Edge will wrestle again, despite him continuing to deny it” - “And the boldest of all, because it's a huge long-shot: Sami Zayn finally wins a main roster championship” and “Sami Zayn will win a Main Roster Title L” - “Vince will completely give up on Ricochet as he doesn’t win another title throughout the year” - “Roman will be booed by the end of the year” - “Orange Cassidy will fight for the AEW World Title” Close - “Drew will still be the future. Just not the now future, as he claims no World title in 2020.” - “The Undertaker, Edge, nor CM Punk will wrestle at all in 2020” (1/3 aint bad) - “WWE brings back Halloween Havoc with a Smackdown returning Finn Balor Vs Bray Wyatt.” (they did bring it back) Whooops - “Adam Cole reign as NXT champion will be ended at NXT Takeover Tampa by Marty Scrull.” - “The Revival will sign extensions with WWE despite teasing leaving.” - “24/7 Title gets retired” - “Matt Riddle defeats either Lesner or Goldberg” - All the CM Punk Ones And, of course, nobody predicted the that so many companies would have trouble drawing this year… There’s a lot on there so I’m sure there are gems I missed.
Authors Notes When Randy Orton defeated Drew at Hell in a Cell many believed that he'd have quite a long reign as the champion, well of course this didn't happen because he dropped it 22 days later to Drew AGAIN which made the Title Run feel worthless in every single way. Instead of having Randy have another lack luster reign as WWE Champion I have decided to book Randy from when he won the Title at Hell in a Cell to WrestleMania. This is not a rebooking of WHEN or HOW he should have won it, anyone with a mind knows the time for him to win it was in his first or second match not his third but that is besides the point. Let's begin by doing the Build Up to Survivor Series. This is long but bare with me because it's pure gold. Yes I'm also booking other mini feuds on the side Build Up to Survivor Series As much as I love The Fiend I don't believe he should ever go for the World Title, a character and gimmick like him has no place feuding for a World Title, he's better than that. Did the Undertaker need a World Title Reign? No. Instead of involving The Fiend we will keep the same build up, Miz TV segments that teases a feud between The Miz and Orton, Drew wanting his title back, and Keith Lee making a name for himself on the Raw Roster. Drew is scheduled to have a match with Orton for the WWE Championship ahead of Survivor Series and during that match Orton wins via heel means, let's say he low blows Drew which costs him the match but allows him to retain the Championship. Survivor Series - Randy Orton v. Roman Reigns Randy Orton of course takes on Roman Reigns in the main event in a first ever match up, booking this match would be strange however I feel it could be booked correctly if both men play to there best heel sides. I can imagine an RKO counter to the Superman Punch which would be an awesome counter but as much as I'd put Randy over I can't simply because it'd derail Roman on Smackdown. Orton would lose the match after a hard fought battle and after Heyman saves Reigns with a "Foot on the Ropes" spot. Reigns would pick up the win off of a Spear after Randy goes for the running knee to the head of Reigns. Build Up to TLC As much as I hate to do it the feud must conclude with one final match between Orton and Drew at TLC, instead of just rehashing the feud build it around the fact that "If I were Champion I could have defeated Roman Reigns" in which Randy would basically say "You've had more than one chance to defeat Roman and you've lost every time". The Miz continues to tease a cash in ahead of there TLC Match as well which furthers the possible feud between The Miz and Orton TLC - Randy Orton v. Drew McIntyre in a TLC Match The match I'd imagine would go on for at least 25 to 30 minutes, it would be brutal for Randy for most of it since he's dealing with an enraged McIntyre however in the end Randy would pick up the victory off of a RKO off the ladder which allows him to climb the ladder and retain the championship. The Miz would not cash in during this match for somewhat obvious reasons. Build Up to Legends Night So some context, after Drew loses at TLC he continues his relationship storyline with Sheamus and forms a Tag Team in the Tag Team Division however it goes slow, there is still a major part of Drew that wants to regain his title and this somewhat drives an edge through both men. Sheamus believes Drew should focus on the tag team and not focus on the title anymore while Drew sees the team as somewhat of a way to meet ends, they begin a feud with the Raw Tag Team Champions The Hurt Business which would be quite a damn good rivalry. In the main event of the show there would be a Fatal Fourway between Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, A.J. Styles, and Braun Strowman for a chance at the WWE Championship on next weeks show, this is done in part to keep building Randy as Champion and actually make his somewhat of a fighting champion. Keith Lee would win this match and would go on to face Randy at... Raw Legends Night. Raw Legends Night - Keith Lee vs Randy Orton Similar to actual Legends Night, Randy Orton would patrol backstage and would basically bully legends such as Ric Flair, Big Show, Hulk Hogan (assaults him cause Screw Hulk Hogan), Mark Henry, and Shawn Michaels. Also on the show The Hurt Business takes on Drew and Sheamus (Celtic Cross or Union maybe? Not gonna give them a name) in which The Hurt Business would win with a roll up by Cedric on Drew which would continue this Sheamus v. Drew feud in the future. Keith Lee would have a star making performance however would lose to a RKO from a Big Bang Catastrophe (imagine that freaking move dude). In a storyline that ACTUALLY makes sense, Randy Orton is confronted by Goldberg near the end of the Show which sets up Goldberg v. Orton at the RR. The confrontation would most likely result in Goldberg and Randy brawling for a small time but ending with Goldberg winning because... Goldberg. Build Up to the Royal Rumble The Raw after Raw: Legends Night (hate that show) would start off with Randy on Miz TV which would of course cause some tension because The Miz is Mr. Money in the Bank. Goldberg would also be on the show and both men would confront each other and Randy being Randy would cut a sick as hell promo on Goldberg and would basically say how he's an old out of date legend and that he's the legend killer. The Miz would also insight the rage of Goldberg along with Morrison and the end of the segment would have Goldberg with the help of Drew and Sheamus against Randy, Miz, and Morrison but since we all know Goldberg would never compete on Raw it'd be Keith, Drew, and Sheamus vs Randy, Miz, and Morrison. Randy would be a hardcore heel against the likes of Drew and would use Drew's hatred and desire to win back the title to his advantage. Sheamus would be pinned due to Randy moving Sheamus in front of a failed Claymore in which when Drew stood he would be nailed with an RKO as JOHN MORRISON GETS THE PIN. Screw WWE for not allowing him to win anything. The next two weeks would pretty much just be promo packages for Randy v. Goldberg Royal Rumble - Randy Orton vs Goldberg Kicking off the show, Randy Orton would defeat Goldberg with a RKO counter off of the spear in a record breaking time of 45 seconds. Two RKO's was all it took to beat Goldberg because screw Goldberg. Sheamus and Drew take on The Hurt Business for the Tag Team Championships and The Hurt Business retains after Sheamus takes the pin which angers Sheamus quite a bit however the team does not split... yet. In the Men's Royal Rumble Daniel Bryan wins and heads on to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for the Universal Title (avoiding all spoilers). Randy watches the Rumble the entire time and it's obvious he's looking for someone... Current Raw Champions WWE Champion - Randy Orton United States Champion - Keith Lee (has a feud with The Hurt Business) Raw Tag Team Champions - The Hurt Business Build Up to Elimination Chamber In the build up to the elimination chamber it's revealed that Randy will... NOT compete in the Elimination Chamber (builds heat) due to supposed "Injury" to his ribs. The competitors in the Elimination Chamber are revealed to be Bobby Lashley, Matt Riddle, A.J. Styles, Elias, Mustafa Ali, and finally... Sheamus which defeated Drew to make it in. It was a friendly bout but more cracks form between Sheamus and Drew. Randy would taunt Drew and would purposely bully him to an extent saying that "Sheamus was always better" or something along the lines to make Drew think about his relationship with Sheamus which Sheamus in a lot of ways has been neutral. Elimination Chamber Match As all men are entering the chamber one does not make it... this is call back to when Kofi Kingston was beaten down and not allowed in the Cell in which Edge inserted himself into the Chamber. Edge attacks Elias (yes this happens) and enters the Chamber in his place but little did he know Elias was starting the thing off against Bobby Lashley. Edge would battle his way against everyone in the chamber to eventually win the match, he sets up future feuds with Elias, A.J. Styles (BIG FUTURE FEUD), and Mustafa Ali. It's important to note that all throughout the chamber it keeps flashing backstage to Randy who is watching from the comfort of his couch and when Edge wins he spits out water out of anger. Build Up to Fastlane Randy and Edge will not be facing each other at Fastlane because this match is a WrestleMania level match however to build the feud Randy actually denies Edge's opportunity siting that "You can't force you're way into a title match" and when Randy is cutting this promo Elias nails him with a guitar in the back (attacks Edge, worded that wrong but you get the point). This sets up an interim feud between Elias and Edge and in the tag picture Sheamus and Drew begins a feud with Retribution and the winner of this feud faces The Hurt Business at WrestleMania, in the main event it's Jeff Hardy v. Matt Riddle v.A.J. Styles for a chance at the WWE Championship at Fastlane and Jeff Hardy wins. So the match card would look a little like this The Hurt Business v. Miz and Morrison for the Raw Tag Team Championships (Yes I Booked this) Sheamus and Drew McIntyre v. Retribution (Winner goes to WrestleMania) Keith Lee v. Matt Riddle for the US Title Elias v. Edge and if Edge loses Elias faces Randy at WrestleMania Randy Orton v. Jeff Hardy for the WWE Championship For the Smackdown Side (I'm not booking Smackdown but...) Roman Reigns v. Shinsuke Nakamura, Alpha Academy v. Dirty Dogs or whatever the hell, Big E v. Apollo Crews, and probably a feud between Aleister Black and Owens which Black wins (personal bias). Fastlane - Randy Orton vs Jeff Hardy Jeff Hardy would of course lose to Randy Orton which would once again have a highlight RKO, this feud alone would take a lot from what happened in the past between Hardy and Orton and would bring it back. After the match however Orton would go for the "I'm gonna rip you're ear off" crap but before he could he'd be attacked by Edge which won his match against Elias which would drive Orton off. Edge and Hardy would embrace in the ring as long time foes, allies, and friends. On the rest of the card you'd have Sheamus and Drew finally turning on each other with Drew claymore kicking Sheamus which in a way is warranted due to the constant hot tags, Keith defeats Riddle in a good showing, The Hurt Business of course retain and on the Smackdown side... well it's pretty predictable besides the fact Apollo wins the IC Title (as a heel). Build Up to WrestleMania In the build up to WrestleMania there is of course confrontations between Randy and Edge but everyone knows the story so not much TRUE building is needed in that aspect. Drew and Sheamus continue there new feud which neither is heel or face in this, leaving the fans to kinda decide who they wanna cheer and boo. Retribution starts there feud with The Hurt Business and Mustafa Ali begins a feud with Keith Lee for the United States Championship. Everyone has something going on basically. WrestleMania Night 1 - Randy Orton v. Edge The match would be a straight up Extreme Rules match where both men would battle each other viciously, the match would of course end in Edge winning the WWE Championship and ending this feud once and for all. Randy would have a 169 Day title reign which is well deserved and I'd say this reign was a very good one for Orton. The other matches would see Retribution winning the Tag Titles, Mustafa Ali winning the US Title (YES I DID THIS DEAL WITH IT), Sheamus defeating Drew (Part 1 of this feud), and finally the Raw Womens stuff which I haven't touched on at all. WrestleMania Night 2 - Roman v. Bryan Basically I'd say Bryan wins the Universal Championship for one last run in the company however to set up his first feud, and I know this might be unpopular but imagine the shock and surprise heat from this, The Miz cashes in on Bryan and wins which gives the Miz his well deserved title (probably lasts a month or two) but Bryan would probably win it back at Money in the Bank or somewhere close to that to set up Miz v. Morrison. Final Thoughts To be honest I believe this to be a FAR better run for Orton instead of a 22 day reign and I feel everything else happening on the card it kinda neat. Edge was the logical choice to defeat Orton for the title and probably post WrestleMania he'd feud with Elias, A.J. Styles, Mustafa Ali (maybe), Keith, and others, he'd have a damn good reign. But this basically concludes my booking, give me you're thoughts and if you wish I could do a follow up of booking Edge's title reign which could be quite fun. Thank you and have a fantastic day!

Video on the topic: HOW I WOULD BOOK: Royal Rumble 2021 No kidding, this year's Rumble is one of the least predictable ones in years, as I honestly have no idea who should win the rumble matches. Even except the rumble matches, a bunch of great matches are set up for Royal Rumble. Goldberg vs McIntyre and Reigns vs Owens are matches that should deliver. But what other matches should take place here?
So, the night should start off with the Women's Rumble match , and I am going to name 7 potential women, 6 who could win, what would happen if they win, but also, 1 who I would have win. Honorable mentions, Io Shirai, Liv Morgan and Peyton Royce.
So, at number 7,we have Charlotte Flair. I dont think she should win, but this could set up Asuka vs Charlotte for the RAW title at Wrestlemania.
Number 6 is The Sheind Alexa Bliss , who is another person who could win, but really shouldnt. She did pin Asuka clean last RAW, so it could happen. However, like we saw with the fiend, these sorts of characters are ruined when they win championship. If she does win though, she might win the title, and if the Fiend wins the WWE title too, they could make a weird goth power couple.
Next at number 5, we have Bayley. Now we are getting into people who I think could win and SHOULD win. Bayley can win and challenge Sasha at Wrestlemania, putting an end to their rivalry, at least for now.
Following this, we have number 4, Rhea Ripley. Rhea Ripley's 20 20 hasnt been great as she fell from stardom as she lost her NXT title to Charlotte. This win could make her into a superstar again, and she could challenge either champs at Wrestlemania.
Next up, number 3 is Ronda Rousey. As I have heard, Her contract is set to end in a few months, so she could win here and have a match at Wrestlemania. Now, as of her opponent, I think Asuka and Banks could be good, but the best opponent would be Shayna Baszler, who could win the title at Fastlane or something.
Speaking of the queen of spades, Shayna Baszler is my number two pick for winning the rumble. Its amazing and sad that she hasnt won a Womens single title yet, so she might face either champ at Wrestlemania, but I would prefer Baszler vs Banks.
But finally, I need to talk about who I would have win the Women's rumble. It is none other than Bianca Belair. Okay, so, let me just say this. Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair for the Smackdown womens championship at the main event of the first night of Wrestlemania 37. Do I need to say more? No? Good.
After this, we have Big E vs Sami Zayn vs Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Championship. Here, I would have Apollo win the title by pinning Zayn after the bloodline distracted the other two wrestlers. This opens up Big E for something bigger later. Hmm, foreshadowing.
The Smackdown Women's title is on the line next as Sasha Banks takes on Carmella. This should be the end of their feud, as Sasha makes Carmella tap out to retain her title.
Next up is the WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Goldberg. Bell rings. Claymore. Claymore. 1, 2, 3. Bell rings. Drew retains.
The tag team champs Alexander and Benjamin defend their RAW tag titles against Lucha House Party next. In the match, I would have Alexander almost cost them the title as he got too cocky, but in the end, they somehow retain.
After this match, the other Hurt Business member Bobby Lashley defending his title against Riddle. Honestly, this match could go both way. But , I would have Lashley retain, although I wouldnt mind Riddle winning.
Next up, Charlotte and Asuka vs Lacey Evans and Peyton Royce for the Women's Tag Team Championship. I would have Evans and Royce win here, due to a distraction by Ric Flair.
Up next, Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship in a last man standing match. With the help of new bloodline member Apollo Crews, Roman retains the title.
The second last match of the night is The Dirty Dawgs vs Street Profits for a rematch for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. The Dirty Dawgs retain. Thats it.
And finally, the men's rumble match. Again, I will name 7 people who could win, and who I would have win. Honorable mention, John Cena, The Fiend and Edge.
At number 7, we have Keith Lee. The glorious could win and challenge McIntyre for the title at Wrestlemania.
Next up, number 6, Shinsuke Nakamura. After being screwed out of the number one contenders match, Nakamura could win and challenge Reigns at Wrestlemania, or , he could challenge and win the WWE championship off of Mcintyre.
Bobby Lashley is at number 5, as he is one of the only person from RAW who I can see win the rumble. He could lose his match against Riddle, but win the rumble and hence the WWE Championship later at Wrestlemania by defeating McIntyre.
Up next at number 4 is Cesaro. Cesaro got 2 clean wins against Bryan and Ziggler. So, he definitely has some momentum on his side, as he maybe could win his first world championship in 2021.
At number 3 is Brock Lesnar. The beast could return and win the rumble and set up a Wrestlemania 36 rematch, or he could challenge his advocate's new client, Roman Reigns.
Speaking of Daniel Bryan, he is another name who could win the rumble, as he might be set to challenge Reigns at Wrestlemania. He does deserve a rumble win , as he shouldve but didnt win in 20 14 and 20 15 rumble.
But , maybe one guy deserves to win the rumble more than Bryan, as my pick to win the rumble would be Big E. After being screwed out of his midcard title earlier the night, he could go after the big blue title as he faces Reigns at Wrestlemania.

How WWE Should Book Clash Of Champions: Gold Rush 2020
Hey everyone! Ever since Night Of Champions 2015, through multiple accounts, every month before major WWE pay-per-views, I’ve come on here and booked the cards to make them as exciting, intriguing, and best possible scenarios for the future. I do both NXT and main-roster pay-per-views, as well as the occasional big milestone RAW or Smackdown weekly show. Without further ado, here is how Clash Of Champions: Gold Rush 2020 should be booked
MY NIGHT/CLASH OF CHAMPIONS PPV POSTS OF PREVIOUS YEARS:
We get the usual kickoff panel of some combination of Charly Caruso, JBL, Peter Rosenberg, Booker T and Jerry Lawler. Throughout the hour, the panel runs down the match card giving their predictions, hyping up the matches and showing us video packages. About 25 minutes into the hour, we get our first kickoff match. Yes, there’s two, because there was one match on the main card that SCREAMED kickoff so strongly to me that I just had to move it. You’ll see which one as you read on.
1ST KICKOFF MATCH: Asuka (c) vs. Zelina Vega (Singles match for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship)
Zelina Vega is out first followed by the RAW Women’s Champion, Asuka. We get formal ring introductions and the match gets 5 minutes, because let’s be honest, there is nobody in the world that buys Zelina as a credible threat. She’s a manager and literally got this match by telling Asuka she wanted to face her. 5 minutes will allow a nice little match where Zelina can showcase some of her abilities, but not too long to where it’s completely unbelievable that she can hang with Asuka. The two trade strikes and submissions and it’s very mat-wrestling heavy, but the finish comes when Zelina knocks Asuka down with a dropkick and goes up to the top rope, she tries for her diving hurricanrana but Asuka reverses the momentum and rolls out, locking Zelina in the Asuka Lock for the quick submission. Don’t get me wrong, I think Zelina in the right role is an absolutely tremendous person to have on TV, but if she is getting title matches on PPV, that has to be a telltale sign that we need either a draft or to merge the women’s divisions on RAW and SmackDown DESPERATELY. As far as what’s next for Asuka, maybe Mandy Rose, since at least that’s a match we haven’t seen 73 times. That could be a fun mini-feud on TV maybe culminating in a title match on the go-home RAW to HIAC.
WINNER by SUBMISSION and STILL WWE RAW Women’s Champion: Asuka
The panel discusses the match we’ve just seen, and as they’re commending Zelina on her efforts, Andrade and Garza just so happen to crash the party and they cut a promo explaining how that is a prime example of why they don’t need Vega anymore. They knew she was the weak link and they knew she was driving the wedge between them. They vow to win the RAW Tag Titles tonight and walk off. We get some more video packages and at about the 40 minute point in the hour, we get our second and final kickoff match of the night.
2ND KICKOFF MATCH: Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Lucha House Party (Kalisto and Lince Dorado) (w/ Gran Metalik) (Tag Team match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships)
Lucha House Party are out first, and it’s evident that Kalisto and Lince will be the ones participating in this match as Metalik is not in gear. During their entrance, we throw to a video highlighting the rising tensions between Dorado and Kalisto in the past number of weeks. The champs are out second. We get formal ring introductions and the match gets 12 minutes. Yeah… so I just didn’t see this match anywhere but the kickoff. This feud is more ice cold than an esikmo’s ass. Plus, it will make the main card just that little bit shorter, which is always a nice thing. Cesaro and Dorado start things off, with lots of uppercuts and lucha things. The match ends as Cesaro and Kalisto are the legal men, and Kalisto goes for a Salida Del Sol, but Cesaro pushes him away and Kalisto lands on his feet, straight up into the pop-up European uppercut. Cesaro quickly tags Nakamura who sinks a Kinshasa into Kalisto’s skull for the win. The heels stand tall and retreat to the back and we linger in the ring as LHP congregates and Metalik helps the others to their feet. Dorado shoves Kalisto for being the one pinned, Kalisto shoves back, the two get into a huge fist fight now but Metalik breaks it up. Metalik is outraged and starts to leave the ring after it seems things have settled but METALIK, THE PEACEMAKER, is the one that attacks both men now. Metalik hits his finisher on both men and then walks to the back. Metalik has finally snapped and is tired of the arguing. In my mind, what does this lead to? There is one more match between these two teams on SmackDown in the next few weeks. LHP win the belts there, but don’t you worry, they are just transitional champions, because at Hell In A Cell, which you can see my card for at the end of this post, it will be Lucha House Party vs. Street Profits in a match to unify the RAW and SmackDown tag titles, because THAT IS DESPERATELY FUCKING NEEDED. Nakasaro retaining tonight would give them one more retain under their belt making their reign look at least a little more credible than it would’ve otherwise, and I would hate to have them in that spot being the ones that fail to unify the titles. LHP/Profits is also something we’ve never seen, since Profits/Shinsaro happened on RAW a few weeks ago for.. no reason. That’s my thinking. Cesaro will still have a role at HIAC though… keep reading on to see what that is.
WINNERS and STILL WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions: Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura
The panel gives their final predictions for the world title matches of the night, and we pan to a shot of the ring crew bringing out ladders, so we already know what’s going on first. Now, let’s clash some champions.
MAIN SHOW:
Making his near 962nd return to attempt a regular schedule of these posts, it’s Reddit user u/HardestPartOfTheRing! I’ve been inconsistent, I know. I went on a 4 year stretch where I never missed doing one of these for a PPV, but in the past year, life got busy. This is my first booking post since Takeover: IYH and my first one for a main-roster PPV since Money In The Bank. A lot has happened since then. I didn’t even do one for either night of WrestleMania because the no-crowds has somewhat squandered my passion for the product and motivation to do these posts. But this is a restart. A new beginning. Clash Of Champions: GOLD RUSH! Live in the Thunderdome! As always, this isn’t what I think WILL happen, this is what I think SHOULD happen. Now, let’s distract ourselves from the real world with some pro wrestling.
1ST MATCH: Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Sami Zayn (c) vs. AJ Styles (Triple Threat Ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Intercontinental Championship)
Oh boy, this is gonna be a goodin'. We get a shot of both titles hanging above the ring, and AJ Styles is out first, followed by Sami Zayn, who as per usual is enraged when his graphic reads as a former IC Champ, and out last is Jeff Hardy. The match gets 23 minutes. The match begins as Sami Zayn tries the same stunt he pulled on SmackDown as Jeff and AJ are in the ring and Zayn, on the apron, pushes a ladder in the ring down towards them, but this time they both sidestep it, and run and knock Sami off the apron to the outside. The bell rings and Styles and Hardy go at it for a bit. Some key spots in the match are as follows:
-Hardy and Zayn are on either side of the ladder, fighting to unhook the title, but Styles springs off the top rope and knocks Zayn off with a Phenomenal Forearm. Jeff and AJ fight on the ladder now and Jeff nails a Twist of Fate to Styles off the top. -There is a ladder bridge set up between the announce table and the apron, and Styles hits a Styles Clash to Zayn through it. -A ladder is set upright in front of a ringpost, and Zayn does his torpedo DDT through the post THROUGH THE LADDER onto Styles on the outside. -And of course…. Jeff hits a Swanton Bomb off the top of a ladder. Somehow, some way. The match ends with all 3 men on a single ladder, and they begin dropping like flies one by one. Zayn swings the titles into Styles, who falls to the mat. It’s now a tug of war between Zayn and Jeff. Jeff powerbombs Zayn off the ladder into the arms of AJ Styles, and Jeff unhooks the belts. Styles shouldn’t win this with the rumors of him going back to RAW due to his real-life issues with Heyman and because he wants to spend Fridays with his son, and the parallel between Sami and Jeff should continue one-on-one, and I don’t feel like that can happen unless Jeff wins, and Zayn just won’t have it. This would lead to Jeff vs. Sami Zayn in a ⅔ falls match at Hell In A Cell. And as for what AJ does next… keep reading on. WINNER and STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion: Jeff Hardy
We get an ad for WWE on Peacock.
2ND MATCH: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan) (Tag Team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships)
The Riott Squad are out first, followed by the champions. We get formal ring introductions and the match gets 11 minutes. Liv starts off in the ring for her team, but there is some dissension at the beginning between Shayna and Nia about who will begin, as they forcefully tag themselves in. Nia and Shayna largely dominate the match with big power moves, but occasionally The R.S. will get some big offence in. The match ends when Shayna and Nia have just had enough of each other and Shayna locks Jax in the Kirafuda Clutch, and Nia passes out. Shayna has already said once that she doesn’t care about the titles, so she walks off and Ruby scrambles to pin Nia but SHE KICKS OUT. We get a double team now and they nail a Double Riott Kick on Jax to score the victory. Liv and Ruby are the new Women’s Tag Team Champions… and that’s the way it needs to be. Jax and Baszler are the most thrown together, throw something at the wall and see if it sticks team ever assembled. I know taking the titles off them now would make it such a short and pointless reign but hey, I wouldn’t have ever put it on them in the first place. There are just so many more intriguing possibilities of matches and feuds that the Riott Squad could have than Nia and Shayna together. Let’s just get the feud between them out of the way and move Shayna back into the Women’s Title picture. Riott Squad finally get their due after all these years, and they deserve it.

We get an ad for all the independent promotions that have been added to the Network.
3RD MATCH: Bobby Lashley (c) (w/ The Hurt Business) vs. Apollo Crews (w/ Ricochet) (Singles match for the WWE United States Championship)
Apollo is out first with Ricochet, followed by Robert Lashley with The Pain Corporation. They’re announced on their way to the ring in this one and the match gets 10 minutes. This card is just FULL of rematches and it’s so painful to think about. I know i’ve said it a million times in this post but we need that shakeup so badly. Let’s make this the last Crews vs. Lashley match for at least 18 million years, yeah? It follows the same formula as their match from Payback, two big buff bald headed black bruisers beating the brakes off each other, brother! I’m not gonna lie to you, this match isn’t gonna have a finish, because it’s all too obvious what’s happening here. After the two men sit cross-legged in the middle of the ring and have an intelligent and respectful political debate, all of a sudden T-BAR, SLAPJACK AND MACE and the other unnamed members of Retribution swarm the ring and get their… well, retribution on The Hurt Business for their ambushes the past few weeks. The match is thrown out and Dijak/Dio/Thorne put MVP through the announce table at ringside. Mass destruction is caused and we just move on from this disaster of an angle for the night.
Bobby Lashley (c) (w/ The Hurt Business) vs. Apollo Crews ended in a No Contest after Retribution interfered and wreaked havoc
We get an ad for WWE Battlegrounds, and a video package for our next match.
4TH MATCH: Bayley (c) vs. Nikki Cross (Singles match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship)
Cross is out first, followed by Bayley. We get formal ring introductions and the match gets 12 minutes, same as it did when they fought at Extreme Rules… THE HORROR SHOW, because why not. Remember in the very last match when I said this card is full of rematches? Well FUCK here we are again. I firmly believe that the only reason Nikki got this title shot again is because she is legitimately the only one left on SmackDown right now that’s not Sasha who has even the tiniest shred of credibility to be able to hang with Bayley. Again, let’s get that draft soon, please. You know the deal here. The match ends after Cross is setting up for her rope-assisted swinging neckbreaker, but Bayley gets out and lands on the apron and jumps down, choking Nikki on the rope. Bayley rolls back inside and hits a Bayley to Belly, but that’s not enough. She wants to send a real message to Sasha not to fuck with her. She winds Cross up, backstabber into the Bank Statement, and Nikki taps out to a move of Bayley’s that isn’t even hers. We’re setting up Bayley vs. Sasha on a big stage, it would be utter stupidity to have Nikki win the title here. Even just as a swerve to ruin everyone’s predictions for the night, what’s the point in interrupting the flow of this Sasha/Bayley storyline, one of the best things that WWE has to offer as a storyline right now? Honestly, I would do Bayley vs. Sasha in HIAC next month. What other time are they gonna do that type of match? The feud definitely calls for it. I’d have Bayley retain, and the only other way Sasha can get to Bayley again is by winning the Women’s Rumble, which she does, setting up Bayley/Sasha for WrestleMania FINALLY, and Sasha wins the big one on the grandest stage.
WINNER by SUBMISSION and STILL WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion: Bayley
We get an ad for the WWE Network.
5TH MATCH: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) (c) vs. Andrade and Angel Garza (Tag Team match for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships)
AHHHHHHHHHH. REMATCHES REMATCHES REMATCHES. END THE MISERY GOD DAMNIT. Now that I’ve taken a minute to compose myself, Andrade and Garza are out first followed by The Profits. the match gets 9 minutes, and the Profits win after Montez hits a Frogsplash on Andrade. Plain and simple. Let’s end this damn feud. Let’s unify those titles at HIAC. Let’s make WWE Tag Team wrestling great again. Moving on.
WINNERS by PINFALL and STILL WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: The Street Profits
We get an ad for Hell In A Cell next month, and a video package for our next match.
6TH MATCH: Roman Reigns (c) (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Jey Uso (Singles match for the WWE Universal Championship)
Jey Uso is out first, followed by Paul Heyman, with his newest client.. The REIGNSing, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED, BIG DOG OF THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION… Roman Leakee. We get formal ring introductions, with Heyman taking the mic and doing his own for Roman, and the match gets 8 minutes. This is gonna be a Goldberg/Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33 level of epic sprint. There is gonna be so much packed into this 8 minutes that you’re gonna swear it was 888 minutes. Just you wait. The bell sounds and immediately Roman charges for a spear, but Jey sidesteps and sends Roman headfirst into the ringpost. Reigns turns around into a superkick, Reigns falls to one knee. Another superkick, Reigns is on his back. Jey goes up top for an Uso splash, Roman kicks out. Jey goes up top, second Uso splash, Heyman going wild on the outside, Roman kicks out again. Jey is running wild on Reigns out of the gate. Roman gets thing back in control with a Samoan Drop, and that one-arm lifting powerbomb off the mat. Jey kicks out. About halfway through, in a key moment in the match, Roman is setting up for a Superman Punch but Jey ducks. Jey rebounds with a Superman Punch of his own, followed by a Samoan Driver, in an ode to daddy Rikishi, maggle. Jey gets the cover on Reigns but and just as it looks like Jey is about to pull off the impossible, PAUL HEYMAN GRABS THE REFEREE’S LEG AND PULLS HIM OUT OF THE RING. The ref drops hard on the outside and it looks like Reigns is in here to play dirty. Heyman won’t be gloating for long though AS THE USOS MUSIC HITS AND OUT COMES JIMMY USO TO MAKE HIS RETURN. Jimmy sprints and jumps off the steps, taking Heyman down with a flying clothesline. No ref still, Jimmy slides into the ring and they hit a double superkick on Roman. They go to either corner, DOUBLE USO SPLASH. Surely this combo will get it done, a new ref runs out from the back. 1… 2… NOOOO. Jimmy looks petrified on the outside. What more can Jey possibly do? Jimmy has an idea and grabs the Universal Title belt from the timekeepers area, and slides it in the ring. Jimmy slides back into the ring and The Usos hit a double superkick on the new ref. Jey picks up the championship, Reigns stumbles to his feet, and Jey goes to swing it at Reigns head but Reigns ducks, shoots off the ropes and hits a Spear. By now the original ref has recovered, and counts the 3. Whew, that was alot. Just imagine all that going down in your head, commentators and the piped-in crowd noise going crazy. Slightly overbooked? Maybe, but it would make for an extremely high drama match that you couldn’t look away from for one second, and one that had several hope spots for Jey Uso where it looked like he could actually pull it off. For now, at least, Roman Reigns remains at the head of the table as the tribal chief of SmackDown.
WINNER by PINFALL and STILL WWE Universal Champion: Roman Reigns
We get an ad for WWEShop, followed by a video package for our main event.
7TH MATCH: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton (Ambulance match for the WWE Championship)
Randy Orton is out first, followed by McIntyre, who makes his entrance out of the back of the ambulance as it drives into place on the stage. We get formal ring introductions and the match gets 20 minutes. When trying to decide between this and Jey/Roman on what should main event this show, all it really came down to for me was the fact that McIntyre still has not main evented a PPV as WWE Champion yet, so let’s give that to him here. Also because there’s actually a title switch here, but hey, you’re not supposed to know that yet! The match is an all out brawl similar to their excellent match at Summerslam, now with 90% more fighting by a local medical facility vehicle! The match ends when the two men are fighting by the Ambulance, Drew opens the doors, and charges Orton for a Claymore Kick but Drew’s momentum sends him flying into the Ambulance and Orton capitalizes and closes the door. The second this was made an Ambulance match we pretty much knew this was a safe way to take the title off Drew without having him get pinned, which is entirely sensible. It’s odd to have a world title change in a stipulation like this, but so be it if it advances a story. Post-match, Orton poses in the ring as a 13-time World champion, but all of a sudden we see a man come up behind him. Orton turns around and is suddenly face to face with EDGE. And with just a simple stare, and a raise of the championship belt by Orton, we know what we’re in for. Orton vs. Edge III for the WWE Championship, next month, inside Hell In A Cell. What’s next for McIntyre? Since this Orton/Edge feud is going to dominate RAW for the next little while again, I'd promptly move Drew over to SmackDown in the draft and waste no time in getting him right back into a World Title program, this time for the Universal. Hopefully, this time we can hold out on him winning it until fans come back, so he can finally get that title win pop that he was robbed of at Wrestlemania. As sort of a first proving ground for Drew on SmackDown, I think him vs. Cesaro at HIAC could be a phenomenal match, where Drew would obviously get the win. But for now, The Viper is once again the man. Keep reading to see my HIAC card.

Well, that was the post. Thanks for reading! As always, let me know what you liked and/or what you didn’t like from the post, and what from the post you’d like to see actually happen on the show tomorrow night! Be sure to look out for my next post for the upcoming PPV, **”How WWE Should Book Hell In A Cell 2020. Enjoy the show tomorrow night, everyone.

WINNERS by PINFALL and NEW WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: The Riott Squad
Goldberg vs The Fiend, however, is a match that could main event Super ShowDown without a doubt. Bray Wyatt is young, and he can easily provide a great match with this legend. That pivot, of course, is Goldberg defeating "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship. Allow me to be one of the few to say this: WWE made the right decision. In fact, "The Fiend" should have never been put into a position to be any show's focal point. And yes, Goldberg was the right one to shoehorn into this position. The story of the match will probably see Goldberg repeatedly hit Fiend with everything he has, which is to say a few Spears and a Jackhammer only for him to keep getting back up. This persists until A) the Fiend stops getting back up or B) Goldberg is so worn down that he becomes beatable. Goldberg vs Reigns - Spear vs Spear, Era vs Era Another positive from Goldberg’s victory over Wyatt is that it has opened the door for a dream match of sorts between Goldberg and Reigns, one of Prediction: At some point, Goldberg will spear Fiend who will no-sell it. One or more spears later, depending on the length of the match, Goldberg will then Jackhammer Fiend and pose or lean against the ropes with the camera fixed on him. Fiend will rise behind him where Goldberg, with confused look on his face, will take the Mandible Claw. In terms of Goldberg vs. the Fiend, the smart move would be to have Goldberg get squashed … but WWE still has a lot of money invested in Bill Goldberg, which gives reason to think there are Prediction : Big E ‘The Demon vs. ‘The Fiend’ Bray win the WWE Championship to redeem himself from the abrupt endings to both of his Universal Championship reigns against Goldberg Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns. At this year’s WrestleMania, we will witness Goldberg defending his Universal Championship. Goldberg recently earned the title after defeating The Fiend, Bray Wyatt Goldberg has always been positioned as an unstoppable force of nature who can run through his opponents. On the other hand, The Fiend has always been showcased as someone who can take a great deal Final Predictions for Lesnar, Goldberg vs. Fiend and WWE Super ShowDown Card Anthony Mango @ @ToeKneeManGo Prediction: Murphy and Rollins win.
